3. Independent Contractor Relationship & No Direct Employment

All roofing professionals, repair crews, inspectors, and tarping crews dispatched or referred through RoofExpertUSA are independent third-party contractors and not employees, agents, joint venturers, or partners of RoofExpertUSA. RoofExpertUSA does not exercise direct supervisory control over the specific trade methods, safety equipment, staging practices, labor protocols, or craftsmanship executed on customer job sites.

4. Consumer Due Diligence & Contractor Verification

While RoofExpertUSA endeavors to route emergency inquiries to qualified and established regional roofers, the property owner retains sole responsibility for verifying the credentials, licensing status, and insurance coverage of any contractor prior to executing contracts or releasing funds:

• Texas Regulatory Context: The State of Texas does not maintain a mandatory state-level general roofing license. Property owners should request proof of active general liability coverage, workers' compensation insurance, local municipal registrations (such as City of El Paso Planning & Inspections permits), and trade association memberships (such as RCAT).
• New Mexico Regulatory Context: For properties located in Sunland Park or Doña Ana County, New Mexico, work must be conducted by contractors licensed by the New Mexico Construction Industries Division (CID) holding an active GB-98 or GS-21 roofing classification. Homeowners should request and verify the contractor's New Mexico CID license number before commencing structural work.
